Thanks to our membership, ACOI continues to grow and strengthen the osteopathic internal medicine community.
2025-2026 Highlights
Serving Members
- Supported the growth and future of our profession by building up our community of physicians, students, residents, and fellows in training to over 15,000 members.
- Introduced new and expanded member discounts to add even more value to your membership, including:
- student loan support and financial wellness from new partner SoFi®
- contract review services, compensation insights, and estate planning support from Resolve
- the leading clinical support resource from UptoDate®
- Over 19% of members donated to the ACOI mission through membership, event attendance, individual giving, and more.
- Highlighted a variety of members and their stories through the monthly e-newsletter ACOinfo and its Voices Across ACOI column, and created the ACOI Student Spotlight newsletter to share a greater breadth of student activities.

Providing Exceptional Events & Education
- Reached more than 4,000 learners with high-quality, relevant education.
- Delivered over 170 live, virtual, and on-demand discounted and free educational sessions. Recent sessions now available for on-demand registration include:
- Launched ACOI 2026, to be held October 7-10, 2026, in Palm Springs, California. It promises to be an exciting experience that continues the best of what ACOI 2025 had to offer our members in-person.
- Hosted more than 40 free educational programs dedicated to students and residents, including the Student Lecture Series and the newly-introduced Resident Lecture Series.

Empowering Advocacy
- Advanced key advocacy priorities in healthcare by engaging with policymakers on 36 issues.
- Created the Capitol Rounds newsletter to share more of what ACOI does in its advocacy efforts for the osteopathic internal medicine profession.
- Participated in DO Day alongside the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), to support the osteopathic internal medicine profession and meet with congressional leaders about vital issues affecting the osteopathic internal medicine community.


Recognizing Excellence
- Celebrated excellence by inducting 47 members into the ACOI Fellowship as new Fellows (FACOI) and honored 9 new Master Fellows (MACOI).
- Recognized our 2025 award winners, whose leadership, innovation, and dedication continue to shape the future of osteopathic internal medicine and elevate our profession.
