Michael Foti, DO, has been appointed to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Mental Health Workgroup. This group works to address critical issues surrounding mental health in communities and within the osteopathic medical profession. Congratulations to Dr. Foti on this opportunity!

Brandon Hooks, DO, FACOI, has started a new position as a locum pulmonary disease and critical care physician with Weatherby Healthcare. Weatherby Healthcare specializes in locums, and is part of CHG Healthcare, the largest locum tenens organization in the industry. Congratulations, Dr. Hooks!

Joshua Lenchus, DO, RPh, FACP, SFHM, has been elected as the First Vice President of the AOA Board of Trustees. A member of the AOA Board of Trustees since 2024, Dr. Lenchus previously served as Third Vice President. He was selected for this new role at the AOA House of Delegates meeting in July 2025. Congratulations to Dr. Lenchus on this honor!

Ryan Morgan, DO, FACOI, recently obtained two new certifications. He passed the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part I, which is a requirement for Canadian residency programs as well as part of the eligibility criteria for the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC). He also completed American Sign Language (ASL) Units 1-8 through ASL e-learning platform Lingvano. Congratulations, Dr. Morgan!

Ricardo Perez, DO, JD, FACOI, is starting a new position as Chief Medical Officer at Vitruvian Health, a prominent healthcare system that serves northwest Georgia and southeast Tennessee. Congratulations, Dr. Perez! 

Thomas Summers, DO, FACOI, has joined Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, and will serve patients at the Institute’s newest location in Key West, Florida. Board-certified in hematology oncology, Dr. Summers will diagnose and treat patients with solid tumors and benign blood disorders, clotting disorders and lymphomas. Leonard Kalman, MD, the executive deputy medical director and chief medical officer at Miami Cancer Institute, said, “We are pleased to welcome Dr. Summers to our highly skilled team of cancer care specialists dedicated to providing the highest quality care.” Congratulations, Dr. Summers!
