Michael Foti, DO, FACOI, has been appointed to serve on the Council on Osteopathic Educational Continuum (COEC). The COEC works to support the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) strategy on the educational continuum by supporting the lifelong learning of osteopathic physicians. In a post expressing his gratitude for the honor, Dr. Foti shared, “I am grateful to AOA President Robert Piccinini and the leadership of the AOA for their confidence in me during this two-year term. I look forward to contributing my time and effort in service of strengthening the osteopathic educational pathway, upholding our shared values, and advancing the future of osteopathic medicine.”
Dr. Foti was also recently invited by the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) to serve as an advisor for a new national, multi-year initiative: Reimagining How We Share Learner Information: The Future of the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE). Cindy Hou, DO, FACOI, was elected for a third term as Chief Medical Officer for Sepsis Alliance. In her previous terms as CMO, Dr. Hou led and influenced numerous campaigns to educate healthcare professionals and the general public on sepsis, infection prevention, and antimicrobial resistance. Robert Juhasz, DO, MACOI, FACP, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cleveland Academy of Osteopathic Medicine (CAOM). This honor recognizes an individual who has made significant, fundamental contributions to the osteopathic profession, and demonstrated a lifelong commitment to osteopathic medicine. Dr. Juhasz was recognized for his distinguished career in health care and medical education and his lifelong commitment to advancing patient-centered care. He was presented with the award at the CAOM Members Meeting in January 2026. Congratulations, Dr. Juhasz!

Nathaniel Kesner, DO, MBA, FACOI, has been selected to serve as Chairman of the Board for Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. In a post expressing his gratitude for the role, he shared: “Any opportunity to serve in this role rests squarely on the shoulders of the hospitalist, intensivist, specialists, surgeons, and emergency medicine physicians who have been the true heavy lifters for our patients day and night.
