October 20, 2025
The Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services (CMS) has released Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) payment adjustment information for the 2024 performance period/2026 MIPS payment year. A MIPS participant’s final score will determine whether they will have a positive, negative or neutral payment adjustment applied to the Medicare paid amount for covered professional services.
MIPS participants can access their payment adjustment by signing into the Quality Payment Program (QPP) website using the same credentials used to submit their 2024 MIPS data. Refer to the QPP Access User Guide (ZIP, 4MB) for more information. MIPS participants should click “View Feedback” on the home page and select their organization (Practice, Alternative Payment Model (APM) Entity, Virtual Group). Practice representatives can access individual, subgroup, and group performance feedback (final scores and payment adjustments).
MIPS participants can request a targeted review until Nov. 14, 2025, at 8 pm ET if they believe there’s an error in the calculation of their MIPS final score or MIPS payment adjustment factor. MIPS participants can request a targeted review from their QPP account by clicking on “Targeted Review” on the left-hand navigation.
