Congratulations to these outstanding Members for their contributions and for Making an IMpact 
 

Each year, nominations detailing our members’ accomplishments and activities deserving consideration are accepted by the ACOI and selections are made by the ACOI Honors and Awards committee based on specific criteria for each award. This year three award winners will be honored at #ACOI2022 during the Annual Fellows Convocation.  

The award winners are:  

David Hitzeman, DO, MACOI
David Hitzeman DO, MACOI – Distinguished Service Award 

The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor the ACOI bestows on an individual physician. Winners are chosen through a process that starts with unanimous recommendation of the Committee on Honors and Awards, and then by unanimous vote of the Board of Directors. 

Natasha Bray, DO, FACOI
Natasha Bray, DO, FACOI, Dean, OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, Oklahoma – 2022 ACOI Internist of the Year 

To qualify for the Internist of the Year award, a physician must demonstrate clinical excellence and exceptional status in continuing professional accomplishments, scholarship, and professional activities, including teaching, research, and community service. 

Daniel Wildes, DO, FACOI
Daniel Wildes, DO, FACOI, Clinical Assistant Professor, Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, Tulsa, Oklahoma – 2022 ACOI Teacher of the Year 

To qualify for Teacher of the Year, a physician must demonstrate major contributions to osteopathic medical education and leadership that has had positive impact.
