Welcome, everyone, to the start of a new semester!
To our first years—welcome to the show! Congratulations on the culmination of your hard work, time, and dedication that brought you here. May you adapt quickly to the material, find your rhythm, and never hesitate to lean on each other or your upperclassmen for support and guidance.
To our second years, just one more year of didactics! May your days be smooth and your board prep be smoother.
To our third years, may your days be short yet impactful, and your hospitals always stocked with free coffee.
To our fourth years, may your preceptors and residents always be in good spirits, and may you shine during your audition.
Each of you is stepping into a season of growth, challenge, and opportunity. I encourage you to embrace every patient encounter, lecture, study session, challenge and success as a chance to sharpen your skills and deepen your calling to medicine. The journey is demanding but keep your chin up and remember: every step you take is shaping the well-rounded physician you will become.
The Student Division of the ACOI is here to support and inspire you along the way. This monthly newsletter will bring you exciting updates, educational resources, student highlights, and opportunities to get involved both locally and nationally. Our goal is to help you thrive academically, clinically, and personally, while connecting you to a community of peers and mentors who share your passion for osteopathic internal medicine.
Here’s to a semester of learning, service, and growth. Let’s make it count!
With determination and purpose,
Fabio Greco OMS-III
