ACOI’s Comments Submitted on Prior Authorization Proposed Rule

ACOI has submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the prior authorization proposed rule. Medicare Advantage (MA) plans must not impede enrollees’ access to entitled basic benefits. ACOI has commented in support of CMS proposals for better prior authorization guardrails. We support fixing prior authorization for MA Plans and all health insurance markets.
