ACGME Osteopathic Recognition Committee Call for Nominations

The ACGME’s Osteopathic Recognition Committee (ORC) is seeking nominations for three key roles with terms beginning July 1, 2026. This is an important opportunity to contribute to the oversight and development of osteopathic graduate medical education (GME) nationally. Below is a summary of the nomination opportunities:

1. Committee Member

  • Eligibility: Current Directors of Osteopathic Education or program directors for a program with Osteopathic Recognition, in good standing with the Osteopathic Recognition Committee
  • Term: 6 years

2. Resident Member

  • Eligibility: Designated osteopathic residents enrolled in an ACGME-accredited program with Osteopathic Recognition.
  • Term: 2 years

3. Public Member

  • Eligibility: Leaders who represent the public perspective, which must not be physicians or others involved in medical education
  • Term: 6 years
