Distinctive Neighborhoods of Baltimore
Beyond the Inner Harbor, Baltimore has many distinctive neighborhoods for you to discover during your visit.
Within walking distance from the hotel, you can explore Fells Point, a fun, artsy neighborhood and home of the city’s oldest bar, The Horse You Came In On Saloon, rumored to be Edgar Allan Poe’s last stop before his mysterious death.
Also close by the Inner Harbor is Historic Federal Hill, known for its brick rowhomes and local shops and restaurants, as well as Little Italy, a favorite neighborhood for those who are looking for traditional Italian cuisine.
A quick drive away, you'll find Druid Hill Park, where you can visit The Maryland Zoo and the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens.
Something for Everyone
History buffs will seek out Fort McHenry (where Francis Scott Key wrote the words that would become the US national anthem), Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum, and The Reginald F. Lewis Musuem.
The must-sees for art lovers are the American Visionary Art Museum and the Walters Art Musuem.
Sports fanatics should check out the team schedules to see if they can catch an Orioles baseball game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards or a Baltimore Ravens football game.
Finally, we can't forget that Baltimore is an excellent destination for families. Children of all ages will be delighted to visit all the Inner Harbor top attractions, including the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, and the Port Discovery Children's Museum, and of course, The Maryland Zoo.
