How do I claim my CME?
How do I claim my CME?
In order to obtain credit for a meeting, physicians must complete the CME form found on ACOI’s website then:
- Select the appropriate meeting from the drop-down menu.
- Select your learner type.
- Select your certificate type.
- Login with your name and EITHER your AOA# (drop the leading zero) or ABIM# - whichever corresponds to the type of certificate selected.
- Click "Save All" to download a copy of your certificate(s).
The form must be completed and submitted by August 31, 2026. There is no requirement for daily sign-in. Please submit your hours only once, when you are done viewing all the content you wish to view. Each physician should claim only those credits actually spent in the educational activities. Once you submit your hours, you will be able to download your certificate(s) immediately.
A CME tracker is available for each meeting to help you calculate the hours earned. The link/button for the tracker is found on your meeting homepage, in the left-hand navigation page about ½ way down. Please submit your hours only once, when you are done viewing all the content you wish to view.
As a member service, the ACOI will report CME credits reported at the above link to the AOA. You are responsible for reporting credits to CE Broker.
How do I earn MOC Points?
MOC Points are available to ABIM certified physicians. To earn MOC points, the learner must complete the knowledge assessment question in the speaker evaluation for each lecture. The learner must give a substantiative answer – A “yes” or “no” answer will not fulfill the ABIM requirement to assess the learner.
How do I evaluate the speakers?
The speaker evaluations are linked on the virtual platform. You can find them in the resources section underneath the session video. If you don't have a chance to evaluate the session right away, you'll be able to access the resources section again within 24 hours after the lecture is streamed.
Does ACOI report my CME?
ACOI will report your CME to the AOA or ACCME. For state licensure, you must send the certificates to CE Broker or your state licensing board directly.
When will my CME be reported?
AOA Category 1A Credits will be reported monthly, beginning April 10, 2026. Please note that reporting will continue through the CME claim deadline of August 31. AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and ABIM MOC Points are reported on September 8, 2026.
