Now is the Time to Plan Your Participation in the eRx Incentive Program
Beginning in calendar year 2012, eligible professionals who are not successful electronic prescribers based on claims submitted between January 1 and June 30, 2011 may be subject to a payment reduction of 1 percent in their Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule-covered services. The penalty for failure to utilize electronic prescribing will increase in 2013 and 2014 to 1.5 percent and 2 percent, respectively.
