Norton Community Hospital's residency program is located in the heart of the beautiful Appalachian mountains in southwest Virginia. The hospital is a community hospital that is AOA approved for 12 residents. Our main draw areas for residents is from PCSOM, VCOM, and WVSOM. We offer a very competitive compensation package. Our program's strongest points are an excellent teaching staff of internists and a very supportive administration. Currently, we have 9 IM residents , 1 traditional intern , and 13 students. There is a nice balance between clinical work and formal lectures. We try to have special lecturers come in a least once a week to give talks.
