The ACOI offers over 100 hours of AOA Catagory 1 continuing medical education each year. (CME Calendar) The Annual convention features plenary sessions geared toward all internists as well as subspecialty section meetings which provide cutting edge information aimed at the subspecialist.

The Convention also includes commercial and scientific exhibits, risk and practice management programs, procedure proficiency testing and daily social events.

ACOI also sponsors an annual Internal Medicine Board Review Course for candidates preparing for certifying and recertifying examinations. The review course is offered several months preceding the examinations and is presented as a significant element of the a candidates preparation for the boards. The review is also appropriate for practicing physicians who wish to keep their skills and knowledge base current.
